You can find places like that also in non-communist parts of Latin America...
Anywhere with a large population of nonwhites is capable of this. However, even white countries look like this under communism.
I grew up in East Germany. It was far from a paradise but it wasn't a huge slum either and people weren't starving.
That's because you're White Germans and White Germans simply don't live in squalor. I mean, you're not Romanians for God's sake. But, still if memory serves, it was the East Germans trying to get over the Berlin Wall, nobody from the West was trying to flee capitalism.
Not just Latin America either. Spain's economy is one of the weakest in Europe. And yet they claim to be white.
Most countries in Eastern Europe are white, some of them are much whiter than Spain, and they still do worse.
They actually had communist government though. What's Spain's excuse?
