Ah, yeah, that’s fair. Still, if your pitch comes across as you being casual and not heavily invested in what her response is, it takes the anxiety and pressure off her. The best example would be to pretend you have plans and you want her to be a part of them, but you’ll be doing them regardless of her presence.
Something like “hey, I’m going to go to this restaurant/cafe/nice, public place on X date. Would you like to join me there this weekend?” would be casual and not make her feel bad for saying no.
