I find it pretty repulsive as well. Our phones are already dirty as they are, why would you keep exposing them to fecal particles regularly? Also, imagine if you dropped your phone in the bowl before you flushed. Disgusting. And similar to what Trope said, it's a small period of time in your day where it is truly just you and your thoughts.
