I understand how its more likely to happen with anal. But it def happens with vaginal sex. And it seems to be spread almost exclusively through hetero sex in SS Africa. I used to assume there was a lot of gay going on there but I now think it is mainly due to their promiscuous hetersexual behavior. They are very “polyamorous”, several different people over the same period. Other std like herpes and warts are also going to increase these issues because they cause open wounds.
