Ok, this is seriously a very good question. The obvious answer is because the government wants to kill you and promote degeneracy, but I think this ought to be sent to the cunts over in California.

Type 2 diabetes is degeneracy.

Type 2 diabetes is a social construct.

I'm totally healthy but I identify as a covidiot, do you like how my mask matches my nitrile gloves as I smoke a pack of blue American spirit cigarettes and drink pepsi. Get the vax and kneel for blacks.

Sorry op if that's a little off topic.

You are a fat degenerate, healthy at all size is moronic.

Nothing is free. Neither should be "free."

AIDS meds and tranny hormones are free, I'm sure.

They are.

Look up the history of government support for dialysis. It's intense.

And yeah, our health care system is beyond fucked, so any analogy involving it is gonna be fucked.

You're advancing the claim that prisons are a better tool for encouraging moral behavior than churches.

This simply isn't theory anymore. Look at Portugal.

whats the story with portugal?

Portugal was the darling and the model touted in the Western world by the media and scientist. They decriminalized drugs, but they were still illegal. They also shifted drug control from the Justice department to the Health department along with introducing a guaranteed minimum income.

It was a success for the first 15 years or so, but recently it has taken a turn for the worst. Here's a short article talking about the pros and cons: https://dpnsee.org/2021/04/15/portugals-approach-to-drug-policy-what-works-and-what-does-not/

So, I can totally buy that a successful strategy needs a more comprehensive approach than just "Legalize it, duuude!" That said, your source says things were working really well for a while, then they apparently got cocky or something and they lost the secret sauce for some reason.

Life anywhere is fucking complicated and mulitfactorial as hell. So, to quote you, Portugal had a huge success and decrease in its drug problems, starting in 2001 and then running into problems about 15 years later.

Oh, you mean right about when motherfucking hordes of migrant savages started flooding into Europe?

But moreover, your source says it got almost as bad as it used to be, which in no way supports your claim of "worst". Things aren't even worse, despite Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Hillary Clinton bombing the fuck out of Libya and opening the dindu floodgates in the meantime.

I'm not advocating necessarily for the policies in the OP, which have been implemented cack-handedly in a handful of prog shitholes, but that's not what Portugal did that worked.

The point of the drug war was to get us OK with living in a prison state. It's just programming we need to chuck. We should absolutely look at how those ten other countries have been fucking up so we can get it right (LOL cuz we can't even build a wall), but ultimately, yes, drugs are better treated as a disease than a crime.

You know like most systems it can "work" ok for a time with "white" people, then niggers and kikes flood it.

When you subsidize something, you get more of it. ZOG's intentions are clear.

$1,000 a month for life saving insulin medication. And my brother gets methodone for free. You gotta play the hand you're dealt.
