I have said before however that modern art paintings are merely receipts for black market purchases. you can paint anything you want for 12 bucks, maybe more if you buy a nice canvas and expensive paints, but you can sell that for whatever you want. The fact is, wealthy people dont spend millions or even thousands on shitty paintings because they see something in them that nobody else does. They arent buying the painting, they are buying illegal goods and services and the painting is merely the receipt.
