Ugh. I had the displeasure of meeting on of these types. Shell of a person. Came back and immediately married a soldier and bought 100 acres of farmland to build a homestead. No doubt this suburban girl simply conformed herself to whatever lifestyle this dude had planned for them.
Oh well, if she stays good and true to him on that homestead, then good. But I fear it is just another “adventure” she impulsively jumped into.
