If it was actually being spent in ways that benefit our people - border security, infrastructure, enforcement of violent crime laws - that stuff's not so bad. But we don't do as much of any of those things anymore, it's mostly welfare, pointless overseas meddling that causes immigration waves, and lining the pockets of people who already take more from society than they contribute to it.
