Final fantasy 7, it's an old video game from the 90's. Sephiroth is basically a clone from the cell of a planet destroying entity. The planet destroying entity would eat the planet's life force so Sephiroth is a corruption and marriage of the planet's life energy and its destruction. Akira was a Japanese animation that takes place after WW3, the world has been rebuilt and has fallen into decadence and they attempt to resurrect "Akira" which was a scientific experiment on a child to imbue him with the energy of creation, instead it led to a nuclear cataclysm that nearly destroyed civilization.
