Back when I went to war they still allowed 18+ beer buying on base. A few years later that was limited to officers only.

They would for me if I told them I served, they didn't give to fucks if the government said since if you volunteered to possibly die you are old enough to have a few after your overworked and underpaid job. They also knew I didn't rat.
