E: Dumb story (I'm good at these): I'm reading a book called Red Rising. It's a Sci-Fi book about hierarchies in the solar system, particularly Mars. It has a massive problem. It talks about demoKracy (book uses the letter "k") as being an unacceptable system that the government order will not abide, but references Senators. Erm ... I'm wondering what these Senators actually do. Plot failure! It is still an entertaining book.
E2: Also, since it is a complete tyranny, someone should know who the emperor is, but even the highest class of citizen in the books never mention the guy. Plot failure two.
