You'd have to cocoon yourself in foil if you want it to stop radio signals. If you just make the hat, you're allowing the signal in through your face only to bounce off the inside of the hat around your skull redirected like a satellite dish.

I think if you layer your house in sheet metal it will probably reflect a lot of things. I think you have to put up multiple layers though
