Are you overweight or just out of shape? Depending on your fitness level that will determine your starting point.
For extremely out of shape people I advise hindu push ups, wall sits/stability ball wall squats, standing band rows,light kettlebell swings, crunches on a stability ball/bicycles, and prone cobras. Walk for 30 minutes every day.
This is easier on a body that is not accustomed to exercise, but will build up enough strength and mobility to get you ready for the work ahead.
What’s the best way to do a pull up. The way Iv been doing it is like a wide grip like my arms out past my shoulders. Or should they be straight up and down
There is no "best way" they both have different benefits. Wide grip works more of your lowerlats. Regular grip works more of your inner lats and lower traps
