That’s what I try to do. Just leave when my arms feel Like rubber. I can never make my chest sore though.

It's easy to mistakenly be using triceps/biceps inadvertently on chest lifts

When I'm not feeling it I lighten the load, and really mentally focus on my pecs. Try and take your arms as much out of the equation as possible and make sure your chest is what's doing the work

I feel like the only way to do that is a wider grip

Try laying on a bench doing butterflies. Really don't let yourself move unless you can feel a pull on the inside of your pecs

Once you get they feeling, focus on it and practice until it's natural

Sometimes the problem is simply the mind-muscle connection isn't well trained. Think of it like PT after a traumatic event where you have to rebuild neural connections
