Because the juice just isn't worth the squeeze. I'm not talking about demanding super models here. An average 5/10 woman can be perfectly attractive and presentable if they take care of themselves. Most (people as a whole) can't even be bothered to do that. Many women are pushed by the "Sex in the City" media to fuck an endless stream of dudes until they're 30-35, lock an unfortunate guy down at the last minute, and crank out a buzzer-beater family in short order. By this time, they're bitter, super high-mileage, and have no understanding why guys aren't quite so eager to commit to them like they were 10 years ago. Fortunately, I haven't been on the dating market in a long time, but I feel sorry for those that are. It's a train-wreck for all involved. Also, don't take it as if I'm bashing women here.
