Is there even any more land for sale in current year? What kind of career would one need to acquire to be able to afford something like land? Serious question, everywhere I see are people living paycheck to paycheck who firmly believe they got it good in a blue state even though they have zero financial leverage.

Depends on how far from a city you are willing to live as low as 2k an acre 1 hour from San antonio if your willing to go south of San antonio cheap and can probaboy have power. 5 acres and a small rv or camper you can live off easy and pay almost nothing in electric and water.

I'd say if you saved up 20k you could be off and running. Be off grid if you were willing to work for a solar panel company and learn how to install them yourself and then get extras or left over from job sites if the boss is ok with it.
