At Trenton State College he played to an audience of two. Yep, two people (best friend and I) showed and to his credit he and band did their whole show. Saw him outdoors two summers ago. Absolute showman. Recites a piece his Dad wrote for Life magazine about the family dog. Look for it. Lives in NYC with new wife. Wrote an unkind song about his dead ex (Rufus’ mom) as well as a tune about aging and his prescription drug regimen that had audience in stitches. Hilarious, e.g., “Rufus was a tit man, now he’s a pecs man.” Son lives out on Montauk. Helluva guy.
