Hegelian philosophy

I guarantee you that anyone who uses that phrase unironically has nothing but a surface understanding of Hegel.

The whole "thesis, antithesis, synthesis" thing is usually the only bit these jackasses use, because it's the only thing that even begins to make sense from Hegel, and even then it's dicey and pretty deep in the postmodern movement (as in actual philosophical postmodernism, which is the root of what we generically call "postmodernism" but is at this point actually rather old).

Nobody reads Phenomenology of the Spirit and says "oh yeah, that made sense and is applicable to pop culture" and means it.
