There are enough of our own traditions, and even more lost to the relentless marching of time, that I do not feel the need to adapt the ways of others: all we need can be found amongst our own people.
I am open to learning of the ways of others. It can be interesting, and bring perspective. But bring them home and fuse them with our own culture? No.
Even if I choose for myself to adapt the ways of others, I will not bring it into the culture of my people, because that would disturb that which makes my people themselves.
