Right, even if you’ve never been in the military, any sane person will have more trust in a private entity than a public one. Private entities depend on willing exchange of money for goods or services. Public entities force you to hand over your cash for.... uh... nothing? I know where my trust is.
They can still lie to get that willing exchange. Cavet emptor. Especially when they are going to get the majority of their sales before side affects could be noted. Maybe if they had a long term sales strategy, and consumer conversations about their product weren't censored.
I still prefer the private market to government, and even am for zero regulation. But that still means being an overly trusting retard can still bite you. There really is no system where it wouldn't, but for some reason that's what people keep demanding. They think they have a right to not think.
You’re right, you shouldn’t trust either. I was just saying I’d trust private companies more than public ones.
The shuffle game
They can still lie to get that willing exchange. Cavet emptor.
Yes, but only so many times. Even if they manage to fuck me over, it'll become increasingly difficult over time to fuck more people over, and then it's a race to recoup their investment before the customers dry up.
With public entities the people running them have made no investment and face no real risks. They are inherently far less trustworthy.
