You get used to the isolation. I can't remember the last time I spoke to someone that isn't family. I go to college every week to spend most of my time in the dorm, occasionally take a run or a walk, and then go to labs.
Not a single word to another while over there.
There comes a point where you really just stop caring. What value would talking add to your life or theirs? Best to keep quiet and listen.
That's my take on it anyway.
That's definitely the sign of the times and being able to adjust to isolation is timeless.
Timeless in its usefulness, for sure.
I can't help but find a satisfaction in all the socialization-obsessed idiots around my age pulling their hair out ever since kung flu came around. Now they're forced to live with themselves.
Since moving to a bigger city 18 years ago, I've perfected the art, especially the last 10 years. I can isolate standing on my head.
I've never seen more anti-social unapproachable and unfriendly people as I did in my years living in a major city.
