Basically. The key word here is alienation. The few of us who "get it" are alienated from the normie masses.
I find it hard to engage in small talk knowing just what is actually happening in the world.
Completely isolated and it starts to suck.
You get used to the isolation. I can't remember the last time I spoke to someone that isn't family. I go to college every week to spend most of my time in the dorm, occasionally take a run or a walk, and then go to labs.
Not a single word to another while over there.
There comes a point where you really just stop caring. What value would talking add to your life or theirs? Best to keep quiet and listen.
That's my take on it anyway.
That's definitely the sign of the times and being able to adjust to isolation is timeless.
Exactly, so many folks are oblivious to what is really going on. Many of us are indeed alienated.
