The difference being when that really happened years ago those tanks stopped, tried a few times to go around him. In the US today, if this were to happen, those tanks wouldn't even slow down for a second! They would just plow right over him, and be applauded by many!
I have vivid memories of seeing real gory images of that dude being squished.
Found out years later it apparently never happened. On the fence on that one, uncertainty. The ME folks tossed that around for awhile.
I don't remember how it turned out back then. I do remember him moving over a few times to get back in front of the tank as it tried to go around him.
Yea I remember the moving around bit, but there used to be images of the tank rolling right over him. I saw them.
It is possible they were faked, but my analysis at the time gave me no reason to believe that.
If you check out the mandela effect (i know, i know) those people have developed the notion that this is one, but everyone pretty much agrees on the fragility of that particular memory (no one is sure). I dont change my life around because of these things, but it sure is strange. If you were to propose that this was a 1984 attempt to memoryhole something horrible, I would not consider you a madman and would say "yea.. maybe"
I guess the long and short takeaway should be, that the history being delivered to us, is not by default, incapable of deciet and represents a vulnerable in our intelligence collection apparatus (which currently is, we wait for other people to tell us what is true, thats probably a mistake)
