Critical thinkers look like mad men to people who do not have the ability to think deeply. You can't expect the most average people to rationally think through what's happening right now. I'm no genius, but it would be like me trying to think on the level of Elon Musk. I can follow certain things, but once he really goes deep into rationalizing everything, I'd just have to trust his word for it. The only thing we can do is trust our own judgment and stop trying too hard to convince people.

Just now chatting with a neighbor and she says she hates Trump. I asked her why and she says he's a bad influence on kids cause he teaches kids they can say what ever they like. me: "like bad language?" She couldn't think of any words he used that are that bad but criticized Trump and his cabinet for being angry. She might have to break up with her boyfriend. I told her to tell her boyfriend he has my support. At least I made her laugh. She says we might have to stop talking. I laughed even harder. She's a sweet person though. Just doesn't understand.

She's a good person who's been drinking the Kool Aid brand she sees advertised on TV. She seemed cheerful enough about the Trump tax breaks that helped her pay down her mortgage. In 2016 she was crying because she thought the bank would end up taking her house away. Four years later and she still owns her home but thinks Trump is a bad influence on kids. Me, her Trump voting neighbor runs over and fixes her sprinklers in the yard that her Mexican mow and blow guys constantly break. Basically any yard work that needs done I faithfully take care of and refuse to charge her so she says she's frustrated because she doesn't know how much she should be paying me. LOL. She doesn't get it that I would do that stuff for free because that's the kind of neighbor I am.
