I used steel J hooks from Orchard Supply Hardware to hang lights. A few weeks later, the lights fell because the J hooks had bent.

I have a Spyderco with CrV steel. Not too bad, was my daily until I upgraded to a VG 10 blade.

I have one of those someplace. Good knife.

But I like my Benchmade Griptilian better, so that's my main knife these last few years.

Those look nice. I really have to come to like the Spyderco feel. The hole in the blade for easy opening is very ergonomic.

The hole is pretty great on a boat with gloves on in the cold...

but the little nub thing on the Benchmade is just easier for me to open and close singlehandedly all the time regardless of weather conditions. The Spyderco always took more effort to open / close than made me happy. Additionally, for some reason I'm able to maintain a much better edge on this particular knife than any of my old Spydercos, and that was [and is] using my old Spyderco sharpening kit par excellence.
