I'm no expert, but I have heard both sides and I think sometimes the anti-vaxers are misrepresented. It's not the idea of a vaccine that they dislike. It's how vaccines are made. They mostly want more research into safety, when there is documented evidence, according to them, that many manufacturers of vaccines have cheated the approval process. Like let's say amalgamated aluminum makes a vaccine more potent. What if one was sold without that? And as a result we still had quite a bit of immunity. Plagues thrive on a population that has zero immunity, which wouldn't be the case in this case. Anyways, that's based on what I've seen on their material. I'm not sure where I stand in practical terms, but I thought I would communicate what I understand their position to be. It's like someone saying they are untrusting of the mercury used in hats, living in the 1800s, that they are just a dumb person who doesn't like hats. How stupid would you have to be to think hats are a bad thing? Clearly only a backwards person who wants us to live like we did before hats would be untrusting of a hat.
