I still don't know why they didn't start selling PC parts like microcenter.
My first PC was a TRS-80 so I always had a soft spot for them.
They kind of did right there at the end, but their prices were Radio Shack high, while Micro Center sells their house brand arduino-clones for $6-10. They didn't have the house brand supply lines like they used to, so putting anything in stock required they sell it at retail.
I don't recall them selling stuff like that. I know they tried to turn into a phone store, and pretty much banked on that and didn't look at much else.
I remember them trying to have a section of "maker" parts, I bought a handful of Basic Stamp stuff from a closeout shop at a hamfest that had RS pricetags on them. It was all overpriced.
I guess someone is trying to bring RSH back from the dead, they have a new online store now.
I thought Hobbyland's owner bought it. I know there's one "Radio Shack" left here where I am, it's in a Hobbyland.
