I cashed out my weekly NIO options, Was .30 left on the contracts, but damn.... I have a feeling these might correct tomorrow and I can rebuy if I want. If not, I'm already up a few hundred, I'm not complaining.

Also cashed out some RIOT weeklys. Crypto had a nice spike this morning.

DKS has earnings tomorrow was thinking doing a play on that, but its already ran up good over the last five day. I'm likely going to hold off unless there is a retreat this afternoon (unlikely).

How much of your portfolio would you say you day trade vs hold long?

30% long

The rest is either cash or day/swing trading. I do a lot of weekly options.

This doesn't count my 401k, I keep all that in mutual funds and don't mess with it.

I don't have a hard rule on how I keep the money allocated. Right now I feel there are some save plays on high IV stocks. If the market changes, I don't mind pivoting to safer dividend yields instead of option premiums.

I haven’t been comfortable enough to dive into day trading but I’m considering getting into it. What percentage do you think your up since june on your day trades?

I'm did 10% last month and at 13% so far this month. I'd have to really look at it prior to that but some of those numbers are out of wack. Like I made a bunch of money buying stuff at stupid low prices Microsoft at $150, JPM at $85, KSS at $18, CDR at $0.79. Those aren't typical returns.

I wouldn't say I'm a day trader as much as a swing trader / options seller.

I don't have enough time to watch the charts throughout the day to do a lot of day trades. If I do, it is stocks that I watch an awful lot and see the patterns, then I set limit orders and trailing stops to help me. I did a trailing stop on GE today for example which locked in my profits at 10.11 price (purchased at 9.64 last week). Maybe I sold GE too early (wouldn't be the first time), but I'm banking it will go below 10 again.

If you're interested I can link some Youtube channels that I've learned a lot from. There is a lot of information out there and I'm still learning myself.
