Intel?

AMD has been where to be for a few years now. Bought in when Ryzen and Vega were first brought out.

AMD has a p/e of over 160. Idk how much more growth you can squeak out of it.

I think we need to be very careful of some of these high p/e tech stocks. Eventually that money will flow out into other equities.

If you got in for the ride that is awesome though. It's been printing.

Something to keep in mind shorter term, AMD has been killing it recently in terms of the Intel vs. AMD war.

Their newest Ryzen 5000 chips are getting some major attention. Keep a lookout for the release date of those chips, if the claimed perofrmance is legit, it will be a big day for AMD.

My chips have been on the table and I've been letting them ride.

Just my gut feeling but I don't think AMD is going to stopped or be overtaken by Intel, innovation wise, for a good bit yet. Unless they do something completely innovative at least die and power wise.

20 yearsish we'll probably see a 3rd party come on scene that's going to give both headaches. That company will be the first to introduce quantum processing to the masses.

Because Threadripper

https://www.pcworld.com/article/3513852/amd-talks-threadripper-how-it-works-who-should-buy-it-and-whats-that-price-again.html JAN 13, 2020 12:00 PM PST

AMD’s 64-core Threadripper 3990X won the chip war at CES, and there’s still plenty to learn about it as we await its ship date February 7. PCWorld’s Gordon Mah Ung talked to AMD’s David McAfee to get more details.

The 64-core, 128-thread 3rd-gen Threadripper may be gargantuan even compared to the monstrous 32-core version released last fall, but one thing hasn’t changed: The compatible motherboard is the existing TRX40 available today. You won’t be able to bring over your motherboard if you own a first- or second-gen Threadripper, but if you’ve already splurged on a third-gen model and still want to upgrade, you’ll be able to use the same board.

That has been factored in for awhile tho.
