That's like, turning on your computer, and realizing you formatted the wrong drive with all your stuffs on it

Such a void, there isn't even room for anger, hatred, emotions. It's just a big void you have to live with.

I tried to explain it to my folks using the analogy of an athlete about to do their run, and they're the fastest in qualifying, on track for gold... and then they trip and break their leg as they're walking to the event.
