This makes me so sad.
I knew about all this back in early January. Spent weeks trying to get approved for options or get a family member to do it for me (I'm stuck in china). Nope.
Half a million dollars that I could have gotten (I did the maths) all gone.

Such a void, there isn't even room for anger, hatred, emotions. It's just a big void you have to live with.

I tried to explain it to my folks using the analogy of an athlete about to do their run, and they're the fastest in qualifying, on track for gold... and then they trip and break their leg as they're walking to the event.
