After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. 29 As he approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, saying to them, 30 “Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 31 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it.’”

32 Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them. 33 As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, “Why are you untying the colt?”

34 They replied, “The Lord needs it.”

35 They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it. 36 As he went along, people spread their cloaks on the road.

It was something related to riding in like King David on a lowly donkey. The really interesting thing is that in the context of the Jews at the time I think a lot of them were expecting him to lead a revolution and overthrow the Romans and liberate Israel in that sense. The people expecting that were for the most part left disappointed disbelievers.

I think that we can learn from this that and manage our expectations of how prophecy will be fulfilled in relation to commonly held expectations. Personally I feel we are much further into prophecy than most people think, about 2000 years further and maybe even a year or so away from the temple being built as the Jews may just have their red heifer (yonkerstribune.com). I try to be more open minded on things, Anything accredited to being done by the Dragon (Satan) in my opinion could very well be the works of man under satanic influence. So when the dragon takes a third of the stars from the sky (biblegateway.com) I'm more than open to the idea that Musk's starlink skynet (satellitemap.space) could be taken down by a nation as an act of war.

Correct I think these unquestioning cult followers give satan more leeway in terms of intelligence than it deserves.

We're talking something that wants to be something it can never attain. So it deceives humanity into believing it's lies by making it believe delusion as reality.

So basically the thing these people follow without question is the equivalent of monkey buttplug story hour for kids with demonic powers.

I don't think the serpent lacks intelligence but rather has God given limitations as can be observed in the first two chapters of Job (biblegateway.com). My observations there are mostly just that, my observations but it seems like for the most part Satan sticks to tempting humans into making unGodly decisions rather than tangibly manipulating our reality.

tangibly manipulating our reality.

You've been around the last 3 years right? Just makin sure.

I have been taught to take it “contextually,” meaning in the scope of its contemporary audience. Prophecy had to be understood by both the hearer of the day as well as us thousands of years later.

To that end, I try to avoid overlaying today’s information on a first century audience. The “stars” by my reckoning are 1/3 of the angels who fell when following Lucifer in rebellion. Other information in Revelation, specifically, is John recontextualizing Old Testament prophecy, almost using “memetic” communication for the reader, as a shorthand to explain quickly the large amount of information he was absorbing and trying to relay.

I don't disagree with looking at it that way but that brings up the question of how many times angels will rebel. It's happened sometime before Noah, before Job when Lucifer first fell and I suppose we are sort of on repeat in many ways so others may follow. Imagine being righteous and stuck up in Heaven watching what is going on but not being able to intervene without falling.

Be weary of things you are "taught", traditions of men (openbible.info) false teachers (openbible.info) and all that, be sure to follow Jesus and not traditions of men that contradict him, did Jesus pass around a basket the same way churches pass around a basket? Did Jesus break bread in the same context as churches break bread? Was Jesus baptized in the same setting as churches baptize? The serpent has had 2000 years to infiltrate the church, we know he was in Judas and Peter in the first three years and we see him in the shape of the Pope's audience hall today.

I study out of the Greek New Testament, and my pastor does an exegetical teaching, word by word, conjugated verb by verb, and refuses to “read into” the Bible what isn’t there.
