Memory is very inaccurate. It's astronomically more likely to be mistaken than be living in the matrix. Also many things easily get memory holed, and the elite know this, so they can change the historical narrative if helps their cause. Like Osama Bin Laden, he died in a CIA hospital, later Obama's administration got him. That also is not Mandela Effect. I think belief in a mandela effect brings panic and less confidence to the believer.
