That's not Socialism at all. Not in part even remotely. Socialism is about protecting the whole by caring for the individual but not at the expense of any individual but of the good of the whole. It has nothing to do with building monuments or any things of import. It's in the name "Social" it's about the Social cohesion of the group, the whole.

As for taxing and redistribution being integral to socialism, I honestly thought that was an integral part of the system feel free to prove otherwise. It's in the name. socialism, I already explained it in my previous reply. Socialism is about social health, social cohesion and unity of kin. You even stated something like this with the assertion that "Nationalism is a required part of socialism", to which I agreed.
