I've heard adrenochrome called a hoax and I've also heard references to it, like in Fear and Loathing.

Are there any studies on this, or chemistry papers etc?

It makes sense I just want to know more.

Edit: some light googling shows plenty of mainstream research on adrenochrome as real, so I guess the people are just calling the blood drinking part a hoax. This is wild.
