Thank you. This is some wild stuff.

Now I'm curious if this actually could synthesize from blood saturated with adrenaline after being exposed to air, which is an argument behind the whole blood ritual thing.

Seems reasonable until you consider every predator/prey meal that's ever happened in nature. The animals in this study had really bad reactions and died from pretty small amounts of the stuff.

They did - but was also injected, as opposed to ingested.

There should be some metabolism in question here.
