Not sure how they can seize a domain if the servers aren't in the US. Unless ICANN is somehow involved.
They're seizing the domain name, not the servers.
The US government has the ability to seize domain names.
A few years back, the US government did this with offshore gambling websites.
Yeah, I remember that. I thought the US had divested that ability, but apparently not.
Will be interesting to see how this affects decentralization, since now state actors are being attacked directly.
