I was impressed with this one when I saw it in the theater. Hackman basically reprises his role from The Conversation (Francis Ford Coppola, 1974)
It was a sleeper. I've shown it to people over the decades and they always say that it seems relevant and wonder why wasn't it a bigger hit.
