That's not really the problem. The problem is, if you give the "homeless" a home, they will just turn it into cardboard box in a month. You'll be cleaning shit off the walls and replacing urines soaked insulation on the walls.

Most homeless are homeless for a reason and it isn't bad luck or because they got screwed by the system.

There are exceptions of course, and I myself have been down on my luck without a place to go for a short time. However, a vast, overwhelming majority of them are just pieces of shit who should be flushed and forgot about.

Yes you are correct. First ask why someone is homeless and treat the underlying condition, if possible.

Giving drug addicts, mentally ill, or irresponsible vagrants free homes will do nothing except destroy perfectly good dwellings otherwise.

It's stupid how many people try to solve homelessness problems without addressing the core problems.
