What if they're not entirely wrong? Agriculture is what built civilizations. Plant and animal domestication is attributed to the Cro Magnon. The Neanderthal and other hominids are believed to be hunter-gatherers, which would make them more animalistic than one who has a larger cranial capacity, more sophisticated technology, and commands plant and animal life. Cro-Magnons, Neanderthals, and other hominids mixed and isolated themselves in various regions to create the races we see today. If one group has more of the original advanced society's genetics than another group, they would seek to preserve it. Combine in-group, out-group bias and time, and it would be expected that a myth of genetic/soul superiority emerges. Don't many pale-skinned people have similar mythologies and encoded rules for genetic-preservation?

No, you clearly know more than I. Do you mean that you can only learn some concepts at human development stages, i.e. toddler, adolescent, or that some concepts can only be understood as it relates to previously integrated knowledge, as in gnosticism?
