I would argue that the cancer industry also survives on lies. There are many proven cures for cancer that have been shelved by big pharma or "under review" by the FDA and other governmental organizations for decades. The simple fact is that curing cancer equals a massive loss in profit that is generated by "researching" and "treating" cancer.
