Ram Ben-Barak, the former deputy director of the Mossad and director general of the Ministry of Intelligence Services and the Ministry of Strategic Affairs, stated in a recent Israeli interview; "It's better to be a refugee in Canada than in Gaza, so let us distribute Gazans all over the world. They are 2.5 million people. Each country takes 25,000. That's 100 countries. That's humane and that needs to be done. If the world wants to solve the Palestinian problem, they have the ability to do so."
This (not) coincidentally lines up with a recently leaked Israeli government planning document in which Israel wanted to expel Gazans to Egypt and then use the United States to coerce Egypt and other European countries into taking in Palestinian residents of Gaza. In addition, the document encourages the government to lead a public campaign in the Western world to promote the transfer plan “in a way that does not incite or vilify Israel.” This would be done by presenting the expulsion of Gaza’s population as a humanitarian necessity to win over international support, by arguing that relocation will lead to “fewer casualties among the civilian population compared to the expected casualties if the population remains.”
