England is a bit different, but in the US, the gov governs by the consent of the governed. They withdrew consent, which, for a smart enough lawyer (I only know one who would make that work, amd he’s not English)is sufficient to start the whole ball of yarn unwinding and pushing them into illegal acts. They’ll be dismissed, told it’s invalid, and the gov will push on is my guess. The game is nearly unwinnable now, but they could start enough ruckus to trigger more. Or they roll over and get called names and their blood lines are fated to end
