I've been in France but I was in chamonix. I actually drove around outside of the town a little bit. I stopped for some gypsies pretending that they were in an accident. They tried their Gypsy juju on me wanting me to exchange Czech money for euros and a cheap $5 ring. I said I don't want that I wanted to see if you needed help. And then I just drove off on them. About 3 hours later I'm coming into the same town but from a different entrance and there they were. So I rolled down my window and screamed at them something along the lines of fucking Gypsy scumbags. But other than that I didn't have any problems in France. I wouldn't go within 10 mi of Paris unless I was in the airport because I had to catch a connecting flight or something. And even still that airport sucks.
That airport most certainly sucks but at least it has "smoking areas" where you can be ostracized in a small room with other people who have been decided are not worth mixing with the general public.
As for Paris itself, as I mentioned in the OP, I have been hearing many stories about that place over the last few years, one Australian woman said that some sand nigger actually grabbed her ass in front of her boyfriend.
