I looked at this place on overheads, this is a red herring. They're building the road along an existing power transmission right-of-way... i.e. the rainforest is already gone, they're just replacing scrub and brush with asphalt. On top of that this road has been planned since 2012 as the city is growing, this climate change summit is just a convenient excuse to ramrod the project to completion. Focus on the real hypocrisy, the use of an armada of private jets to get to these summits.
