At midnight on the day that the CZ officially joined the (((EU))) I turned to my Czech girlfriend as the fireworks were going off over the castle and asked her how she felt to be under occupation again. She thought about it for a while and said:
At least it isn't Russia.
She was supermodel hot so I just laughed but the fact of the matter is that these people have had overlords for the vast majority of their history and they are just used to it. FFS they have 4 independence days that are State holidays.
