You know, I'm thinking about Sears and how they were the first Amazon. They could have dominated the online space since they already had essentially the same business model, yet they never pursued the online market place.

They got rid of their catalog business right before it was apparent that mail-order, albeit online instead of paper, was going to be the thing again.

By the time they regrouped, it was too late.
