I was thinking the same thing. Add to it that we are so divorced from our more animal natures, people don’t always understand what used to be common sense. You look at a slug and think that would taste gross, not necessarily that it might have shit inside that would kill you. 50 years ago when people had much more ownership in the development of their food, eating a raw anything would be inconceivable.
