Unfortunately, I spent time thinking about this more. It occurred to me, perhaps boring old white men like us didn't find anything attractive about climbing inside a metal tube 12 thousand feet underwater in an uncertified machine. I certainly would not have been a passenger. However, brainwashed kids would not have a problem with that. Especially if you hand them a video game controller.
