Adding the proper shielding would require a lot of weight and some magnetically permeable shielding materials. It's cheaper to simply remove the radio from the cars.
I'm surprised that electrics don't remove all FTA broadcast media from the cars, and rely on paid streaming options instead. Appy app appers app the radio with apps, only luddites use FM.
